Barefoot Construction was founded by Jamie, a 4th-generation carpenter from England with 18 years of experience. Following in his family’s footsteps, Jamie distinguished himself early on, earning multiple awards and completing an advanced apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. He has spent the last 10 years building in British Columbia, with five of those on Bowen Island. Driven by a love for craftsmanship and a commitment to sustainability, Barefoot Construction was established to create thoughtful, quality spaces that reflect these values.

Based on Bowen Island, Barefoot has quickly grown into a team of dedicated, skilled carpenters who share a passion for high-quality craftsmanship. Specializing in custom residential projects, from decks and stairs to full renovations and fine finishing, we already have a portfolio of projects and a strong base of satisfied clients.
